I am a founding member of Salmon Creek Stewards, of Sumner, WA., and a stakeholder on the PRWC-{Puyallup River Water Counsel}.
Dave, who I met Dec. 11th, on the 4th St bridge, frozen Copenhagen Candle Vigil in Oly., alerted me to the Creek's imminent destruction/degradation.
Cindy Becket put me in touch with your site. I've e-mailed John Rosenthal, an Environmental Science Instructor at Pierce College-{among his many other pursuits} to ask him to ask his wife, a prominent Seattle attorney who deals with environmental issues, to look into it.
Have you alerted the fine folks at EarthEconomics.org to the issue? They may be able to place a credible dollar amount on the value of the services that the Creek provides our society. That figure may then be compared to any possible benefits of a new source of gravel.
