I am a founding member of Salmon Creek Stewards, of Sumner, WA., and a stakeholder on the PRWC-{Puyallup River Water Counsel}. Dave, who I met Dec. 11th, on the 4th St bridge, frozen Copenhagen Candle Vigil in Oly., alerted me to the Creek's imminent destruction/degradation. Cindy Becket put me in touch with your site. I've e-mailed John Rosenthal, an Environmental Science Instructor at Pierce College-{among his many other pursuits} to ask him to ask his wife, a prominent Seattle attorney who deals with environmental issues, to look into it. Have you alerted the fine folks at EarthEconomics.org to the issue? They may be able to place a credible dollar amount on the value of the services that the Creek provides our society. That figure may then be compared to any possible benefits of a new source of gravel.

This is a GREAT website for informing viewers of our cultural, environmental and ecological surroundings and heritage here in DuPont. Let us be responsible stewards to insure that today's preservation and restoration efforts will guarantee protection for the future.

I am a against any and all development of this area. It should be obvious to anyone with a speck of brain power that this development is a bad idea. anything that interrupts a water table will only result in bad things happening.
